Dear Management.
My family and I are planing to move from Norway to Malaysia early to mid next year. We have viewed your Bandar Laguna Merbok web-site, and we are very pleased to see the houses and the accomodation you are offering. We are wondering if there are houses for sale when we come next year. Is there any known plans what future launch will be? We are looking for a semi D house like CasaMaria Elite or Bella Vista.
We are thinking about bringing our sailboat from Norway..35 ft long and wonder if it is possible to have the boat at the jetty, since we saw in your web-site that there was a sailboat laying nearby the jetty?
Looking forward to hear from you.
Best wishes from Norway |

Dear Knut Mauseth,
Since there has been no response yet from the management, maybe we citizens can tell u what we know.
I assume that u have not visited Sg Petani b4. Sg Petani is an inland town...not along the sea front. The picture of the jetty that u have seen is a along the river (very small river).
So i think if u are looking to be active in sailing then Sg Petani is not the place.....Penang is a good choice.
Do u know about Penang? If not let us know and we try to assist you.
Regards & best wishes.

Dear Knut Mauseth,
Sorry for the late reply. There were some technical problems with the forum.
Yes, we do have some semi D like CasaMaria Elite and Bella Vista in future. If u are interested please register with us from our website (online registration) so that we will keep you inform about our future launches.
Regarding your sailboat, I am not so sure if it is possible to have it at the jetty because it depents on the width and depth of the sailboat and also the water level during low tide and high tide.
However, we do have residents park their boat at the jetty. The boat that you saw in our website is actually belong to one of our resident.
Beside the jetty, we also have a boat yard at our club house. There is a ramp to bring the boat off the water. The boats that we have here is not as big as yours. They are about 20 ft only.
If you can give me more details of your boat such as the width and the depth I will try to find out for you the possibility of having the boat at the jetty.
Last but not least thank you for your enquiry and sorry for the late reply. |

Dear Management
Thank you for the reply. We'll register soon and are looking 4ward to see future launches.
Regarding the sailboat: it's 35 ft long( 10,75 m) and 3,5m wide. The depth of the keel is 1,85 under the waterline.
Hope it's possible to anchour the boat there....if not I'll make contact with Penang Inner City Marina
Best regards from a rather chilly Norway

Dear Knut Mauseth,
We have check with the expert on your sailboat, based on the spec that you described to us i.e. 35ft long, 3.5 meter long and the depth of the keel 1.85 meter, you can anchour your boat here during high tide only because during low tide the water level may go down below 1.85 meter and this might damage the keel of your sailboat.
In view of that I think it is very risky to anchour your sailboat here for long term.
Best regard [/quote] |

Thank U 4 the advice about leaving my sailboat up in the river. If the tide effect the waterlevel so much, it'll be wise to leave the boat in a marina instead. Anyway.... Im looking 4ward to come to Bandar Laguna Merbok and c the facilities and the surroundings.
Best wishes from a cold and windy Norway. |
